Using Jobshop

Jobshop

The Jobshop is a student employment service which aims to find casual employment for registered Cardiff University students.

Assignments offered include bar, catering, admin / clerical, retail and manual handling work amongst others. These can vary in length from just a few hours work to more regular on-going work.

Students must be fully registered and Right-to-Work checked by the Jobshop at least one day before they work (i.e. by 2pm on Friday at the latest if they wish to work on Saturday). The Right-to-Work check is a legal requirement and failure to comply with it will mean that the University may be in breach of Home Office regulations.

Students who are not already registered can find full information about the registration process on the Jobshop website: https://www.cardiffstudents.com/jobs-skills/jobshop/ but they must complete this process at least one day before they work.

All PGR work, not covered by the PGR Framework, must be paid through Jobshop. If you have any queries with this, please contact your school’s PGR Teaching Coordinator.
